RE: Do You Think I Would Get in Trouble For This??

I personally think this post was amusing. I am all for a good gigging
every now and then. I am particularly disgusted with some of the egomaniac holier than thou attitudes that some people have exhibited.
Whether a member is a "lifer" or a "newbie" to this forum should have no
bearing whatsoever on how this was posted. I would probably be termed a
"newbie" because I am a new member to the forum, but I have been a hunter for over 25 years. Does that make me a "newbie" to hunting and my responses have no merit? Give me a break. Antler Eater, I thought this post was a hoot! We need a little more fun and some people need to get off of their high horses and relax. Do I care what the nonhunters think of me hunting? I don't think so. It is my right as well as everyone elses right that does hunt. Am I pissed that they don't hunt? No, that is their perogative. I am going to be a responsible hunter but I am not going to bow down to their opinions and alter the way I do things to satisfy their needs. JMHO......Good luck and good hunting to all and Merry Christmas.

ps....I don't do politically correct either.

I agree. I also think that a thread like this portrays hunting poorly. I don't care that my neighbors are against hunting but I don't hang my deer from a tree and I keep my garage closed when butchering. Just being respectful. He is very respectful to me in turn.......he always asks how I did hunting even though he doesn't like it. We show each other mutual respect which is something not commonly found in the hunting vs non/anti world. Maybe if people were more respectful of each other instead of always trying to stick it in each others face then we would all be much happier.

It is my right as well as everyone elses right that does hunt.
You better reread the constitution because the right to hunt is not in there ;) Hunting is a privilege........no different then driving. You have to be a certain age to do it and you have to pass educational courses and a test to be allowed a license. That license (privilege) can be revoked at any time for violation of the rules.

I do believe that some states have tried to make hunting a right though I don't know how that went.

I want so badly to put atlas on ignore but can't make myself do it. The shock value of his outlook on most everythingkeeps me from hitting that little red block button.
I loose sleep over that very question every night.

Its to the point I can't even function. Loosing sleep - can't make love - don't want to hunt.

I can't even here the word "quote" without thinking of him.

BTW - good one AE - I had a feeeling something was up. But even if you did shoot two as every one got all riled up over - whatever - move on - mistakes happen.......................

thanks for posting the fetus picks. i have chickens and i love candling the eggs when we're hatching them so i can see the little fetuses and the vain things running all around the egg pumping blood. its very cool, i've never seena deer fetus beforeand find it interesting as all get out (as all getout, as opposed to what i would say in person which would be much more colorful). the thread was a hoot. in fact if i had one it would be in my fridge also and i'd probably take it over to the university to a biology prof i know for some study and info.

I do have to hand it to ya, Antler; that's the fastest I've seen a thread hit 1,500 views in a while! ;)

AE I think you waited a little too longbefore comingclean. Letting people getall fired upover nothing for 2 pagesknowing full well it was nothingis a little disturbing imo. If your intentions were to survey how people thought, creative as you are, there were surelybetter ways. Although, non of which would have beennearly as fun.Well, I suppose your intentions were intensional.

atlas, you are the spitting image of a member on a car forum I help moderate.(no mention of good or bad) And I know you don't give a flying saucer what everyone thinks about you but despite what they may be saying or thinking, guys like you keep things intresting in an intresting way.

Man, I can't wait to see how "fun" things get around here during the off season. :)
