I did remember seeing two deer leave together after the shot though. Finally after painstakingly going through everything in my head I sorted things out and found the second deer. You were hunting over a bait pile and deer were coming in at last light. (almostdark) You got stuck in your stand a little late (could hear the deer coming) and could just see the doe come to the pile (new fiber optic sights work great)and could not seethe fawn behind her, but knew it was there. (sounds fishy) You shoot and a bunch of deer take off you didn't see. (maybe it wastoo dark) So, you were hunting after hours and "accidently" killed two deer. Guilty! One question, why would you post this on a public forum? |

Okay Guys, Ms. Antler Eater here. I have a few things to say.
1. Antler Eater will be shocked to learn that I know how to use a computer and am able to reply on his forum. I didn't say he would be happy about it, but I'm positive he'll be shocked. 2. I am a non-hunter but support ones"privilege" to hunt if that's their thing. 3. I am also an animal lover, and hate to see them die. However, being an intelligent person I understand the need for population control. If I hit 1 more deer with my car I may soon join the ranks of hunters. I never carry myfondnessof animals to the PETA extreme. I read the entire thread and found it veryinteresting. I agreed with some, disagreed with some, and laughed out loud at many of the posts.As a non-hunterI was not offended by any of it, though I do find it sad that Bambi died.[&o](referring to the fetus) * Double Creek, "At what point does a fetus become a life?" I love your sense of humor. Your timing cracked me up. *Fieldmouse, Hors d' oeuvres will be served at 7p.m. Sautrday! [8D] I have an appetizer I'd like to get out of my REFRIGERATOR!
