I agree. I thought it seemed out of character for AE. I actually went back to the beginning of the post to double check that it was, in fact, antler eater. Funny story though. I was thinking you were making it all up to make a point about the other last light thread.

And with that, I'm off to go see if I can orphan a fawn or two myself! ;):D

Didn't even cross my miniature mind....

I was just going to tell my story in an interesting fashionandattempt a little lesson in biology (which didn't really get done)all at the same time.:D

Misleading, yup.

Questionable, yup.

Happier ending, yup....well as happy ending as it could be....sad and interesting really but not one that could be helped and this particular doe had to been bred very early, however AE, ya had me worried about ya.

I did think it was weird that a life member would make a post like that and im gladI got in on it after the cat was out of the bag. But man you did really ask for it though. I thought you screwed up when you first said you had no tags then said you had tags? It was probally part of your mind game and you could respond by saying that you didn't have a tag for embryos. My little brother does stuff like this too, and then sits back and enjoys, maybe you should turn yourself into the doctor for A.D.D. it helped him maybe it would work for you too.

ORIGINAL: Antler Eater

I did remember seeing two deer leave together after the shot though.

Don't tell me to turn myself in because that ain't gonna happen! [:'(]

Both of these statements imply that there were 2 seperate deer and that you had broken the law.

Stupid trolling post.

To act surprised at the comments you received is even dumber.......considering they are EXACTLY what you were looking for and knew would come........otherwise you wouldn't have written your post that way.

Why would you keep a fetus in your freezer and take pictures of it?? That is pretty sick and also shows tremendous disrespect for the animal. What a black eye this thread is to hunting in general.

The bigger question is......... at what point did the fetus become a "life"? [&:]

And so another day ends, here, on the continuing saga of "why the non hunting population hates bowhunters!"

"Stupid trolling post."

I would say it was a rather clever one and borderline "trolling" at that. Not as malicious as many of the posts I see that are intended to draw firey responses.

"To act surprised at the comments you received is even dumber.......considering they are EXACTLY what you were looking for and knew would come........otherwise you wouldn't have written your post that way."

Perhaps he was speaking facetiously or tongue-in-cheek. Or perhaps he was hoping someone would figure something was up. I don't know AE personally but he is on my bowhunting contest team and I have read his posts before. I felt like something was funny right away and that it must be some sort of riddle. All in good fun if you ask me.

"Why would you keep a fetus in your freezer and take pictures of it?? That is pretty sick and also shows tremendous disrespect for the animal. What a black eye this thread is to hunting in general."

Hmmm...Possibly to share with a DNR biologist or some other researcher who might be very excited to study it in many different ways. I have never seen a deer fetus - a picture or in person. Very interesting to me. I think the photos were all very respectful and in good taste. He wasn't doing anything odd to it or making fun of it in any of the pictures. How many of us post pictures of our bowkills. Is that disrespectful to the animal?
