Default stopping deer for pictures

i have a trail camera but the deer are just walking past too fast. I can't use food cause i'm in illinois. any ideas. i was thinking of taking a corn mineral block and putting it in a cage. do you think that would stop them for a couple minutes. any help would be helpful.

Let me sit above the camera with my bow, when the deer comes by I will shoot him. If he runs off I will drag him back for a picture.

Oh, then I can not help, but when I use my camera I fond if I had the camera to far away I would get the back half of the deer. Once I moved the camera closer I was getting better pics. Is this better, and I like my plan, LOL

That still might be illegal, but there's hope. Try making a fake scrape with some scent in it. That might get them to stop long enough to get some good pics!

why couldnt you just place it on the tree where they are comming from
so that u get pic's of the front of the deer, instead of broadside...
the camera would see them move and your gonna get the photo.

Scrape seems like a logical place to me, or else pour out some pee.
