Default Does dominent eye matter for archery?

i am left eye dominent. And there are to reasons that i dont shoot a left handed bow 1.i think that it is harder to find a left handed bow. 2.my right arm is stronger and a little for steady because i do everything else right handed. So i guess that what i am wondering is would i shoot better or have an easier time if i shot a bow that went along with my dominent eye? or wont it make that much of a difference?

Thanks much.

I'm the same way right handed but left dominant.I close one eye
works OK some have learned to over come it and shoot with both eyes open.I can't seem to do that.I shoot aright handed bow but I shoot a gun
left handed because of the left eye dominant.this year i had to shoot the gun right handed because the deer came in on my far left ,still put the shot exactly where i wanted.I'd stay with the stronger arm pulling back.
Rocky I'd switch to a bow that is the right size and fit it will improve your shoots

A good shooting coach would insist that you learn to shoot to your dominant eye, however there are a lot of accomplished archers/hunters who shoot opposite. It would really depend on how serious you want to get with your shooting.

i am also left eye dominate and shoot both a gun and bow right handed, with a bow i shot both eyes open and have no problems at all, with a gun i aint entirely sure but dought that i will have any problems.

I am the same way, left eye dominant, but shoot right handed. What I do and it seems to help is keep both eyes open and stare at the area I want to hit, only after I get the pin settled in the general area I am aiming atdo I close my left eye and let my right eye take over on the aiming. Works great for me.

i to am left eye dominant. up until this year i had shot right handed bow's. i tried a lefty and what a difference it made. for me i wont be going back to a righty thats for sure. im sold on the idea of going with dominant eye. my shooting was always decent. now its rare im not in the middle of the bullseye everytime. and both deer i took aim at with the bow,are in the freezer. go with the confidence. now i have it totally!!!!
