Judging from the buck in the pic and the smile on your face I'd say you did just fine . There's always next year and the next buck .

What if you hadn't shot that buck in the picture? What ifyou thought he was a borderline shooter and passed on him hoping for a bigger one to come along and then you never got a shot the rest of the year? That's the chance you take when you hunt. I know one thing though, tag sandwiches don't taste very good![:'(]

I am glad you let them walk because you didn't have a tag, most hunters where I live would have shot, tag or no tag.
