I would never be able to shoot them, BUT, I have explained to folks that if the dogs are allowed to run free, I wouldn't shoot, but know people that hunt there that will. haven't seen the dog in the woods since. that is sad though, the guy is putting his dogs life on the line because he is too ignorant to simply acknowledge the request of someone else.

Honestly, I would not shoot the dogs either.. I have too much respect for someone's pets.. I have a dog myself and could not imagine what I would do to someone if I caught them shooting my golden retriever.. I would however call the dog catcher or police and explain the situation. Or just take the dogs home with you for an extended visit.

If they're in the woods running deer, we shoot them. It's legal to do so here. Dog owner's are required to keep their dogs tied up or on leashes.

Honestly I would catch the dogs and take them somewhere else and then kick the owners teeth out if he so much as mentioned it to me.

You'd CATCH them? Man, that would be fun to watch. The last dog that was "removed" on my friends land was a great dane.

Yup, I'd call animal control. Remember it's not the dogs fault. He's just doing what he is suppose to do.

We have a dog warden in this county. Little lady does it. I can just imagine her reaction if I called and told her I was in the middle of a 300 acre forest and here were some dogs running around loose. In all honesty, she'd probably TRY to find them...she's dedicated. My uncle was in a tree stand early last fall, and had two hug dogs running deer all around his property. After the 2nd day it happened, he took a rifle with him on the 3rd day and fixed the problem.

Exhaust your legal options first such as contacting the sheriff/animal control , and if that doesn't work contact your F&G department and ask if it's legal to shoot dog that harrass wildlife . If you can't bring yourself to shoot them then you'll just have to live with them until someone else does .

I'd either catch them or kill them. Catching them would be the first option and they only way I wouldn't catch them is if they were mean and tried to bite and if that were the case I would kill them. Like others have said, it isn't there fault that's why I would try to catch them and then take my frustrations out on the owner instead of them but if they were mean that now enters the category of personal threat and I ain't having that.

My friend breeds danes.. They are the most gentle dogs ever. The look mean but think they are giant lap dogs. I have personally raised over 100 pups and taken care of about 18 adults.. most loving dogs I have ever been around.
