I contribute at least one of my two doe kills to vanilla this year, if not both. I sprayed vanilla on myself and it also got on the vegetation around me. Two does come right under my stand and start LICKING the trees it was sprayed on. The next morning I did the same thing and got one. I have stopped using it lately b/c I will use tinks as a drag and earth scent as a cover for the rut. It does work though!

tried vanilla extract for the first time this year...and even though i've only made it out 3 times....each time i've had deer directly underneath my stand lickin' the branches i put it on. will definitely be using this in the future on early season hunts. i'll stick w/ "booty scents" for the latter part of the season.
