Cover Scent? What is the POINT?

If deer have the ability to isolate and distinquish seperate scent molecules, what is the point of a cover scent?
They'll still pick you off by isolating your scent from the cover scent.

I agree, I don,t use any cover scents. Play the wind and most of the time they won't smell you. I do rub and step all over hedge apples before entering the woods. Even with rubber boots a little precaution helps.

I agree. I used to use red fox urine until I realized they could still pick me out of the mixture! It's kind of like putting out a cigarette in the middle of a pizza -- you can easily distinguish it from the rest of pizza by scent even before you see it and you want nothing to do with it!

i didnt mix them up.. COVER scent is supposed to help disquise your scent.. But, deer can distinguish seperate scent molecules. They have to ability to isolate a single scent from others.. Which means COVER SCENTS serve no purpose..
