This is my first year deer hunting and I accepted the challege to pick up a bow.yesterday I missed a missed a massive buck he spooked and as a result I missed him at 25 yards or so.it seems they are in full rut here in southern ontario I have seen alot of scraps on the ground and yesterday he came right to my Primos great big can. my question is will he return to the area ??? and how long will it roughly take?? and how long will rut last??

It's probably unlikely you'll get him to come back to that exact place. If he didn't really know what happened, he'll probably still use the same area, but will avoid the place you shot at him. I'd consider moving my stand a bit. There's also the possibilty that, he was just trailing a hot doe and now may be 3 miles away....there's a lotta luck involved with taking a trophy buck.

Good luck!

He will be back. I'd say in about 8 hr. 47 min. The rut will last a long long time. Good luck
