Sorry to hear about that.You do so much testing and help alot of us out on this board.I hope the arrow did not penetrate far enough to do any lasting damage.We all know how tough deer are.I've seen 3 legged deer that survive.They also can keep up with the others running!

Thanks guys. I had a Muzzy zero effect on. what broke was the cable slide, cracked and broke right where the cables ride. I am the only one that I have heard of with these problems, but it's the 2nd time for me. I really love the rest, but now I am a little gun shy! The stand is really not a problem except for shooting behind you. I am willing to give up a bit of shooting options for the extreme comfort it provides, I have never felt so safe and comfortable in a tree stand as I do in my new Summit Goliath! I guess it has to get better from here!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Man, I'm really sorry to hear that 5 shot. It just goes to show that even when you do everything right, it still doesn't mean nothing will go wrong. That just figures too that the rest would fail when shooting at a deer and now a practice bail.

Again, thanks to all of you. It helps to vent a bit. I will be back out next weekend. No word on the deer, but he is either dead, or running around. I will keep an eye out one way or the other though.

Man what are the chances of that happening? Unbelievable!!! Sorry to hear that bud, hopefully he made it, and if not, maybe you'll find him. That just stinks. I hadn't heard of that happening before. Maybe you should send it back to them and see what they have to say. Guess I'll keep an eye on mine. About how many shots did you have through it before it gave up?

I am sorry to hear of your misfortune 5shot. It does sound like you made very effort though. Sometimes these things do happen though.
Just be glad it was the rest and not your choice of broadheads...
