Planning an Elk Trip
I would like to begin planning an Elk trip, to take either next year or year after.
Are there any areas which still offer OTC tags? I realize that many areas require tags and have a lottery system, but are their quality areas where OTC are available?
I would consider either self-guided, or guided...I have read that there are some places that will have a camp set up for you, but no guides.
I am, obviously, at square one with this...I have a dream of arrowing a bull elk.
I am looking for a starting point. Any suggestions or advice from those that either live in a Elk lands or have been on an Elk hunt would be greatly appreciate.

RE: Planning an Elk Trip
Try www.petershunting.com They offer 6 day semi guided archery elk hunts on public land at a reasonable price. The tags in their area are OTC and either sex for archery season.
