Well, my buddy and I set up in a public place that never seems to get hunted. We found a ton of sign last week and decided to give it a whirl.Several does passed through my window and I waited for the last one. I had about a two foot window to shoot through, it was perfect. I let it go and about 10 feet from the deer the arrow deflected over her back. I had no idea what was going on, but after further examination I found an acorn hanging about 3in. down into my shooting window that I couldn't see due to the backdrop. The top right had a piece busted out and there were to slices from my slick trick.[:@] Oh well, I guess we live and learn.

An acorn growing 10ft from the deer? Seems kind of low for any acorns I've ever seen.

i hear ya i had that happen to me a couple of years ago except it was a mesquite limb.

Acorn Come on now. It could have been a chipmunk. Thats my exuse.

Well what happened to you is better then say deflecting the arrow and hitting her in the guts or something.
