John--I was sent on overseas duty on a seven week project July/Sept.
Got back to find two of my tree stands ripped off along with the climbing sticks, bow hangers etc. Never had anything stolen from my farm until now. Luckily I had taken in my cameras or else that would have gone also.
The week after I returned the lock on my gate was broken. Hasn't been good recently.
I'm partly moved, not all the furniture is in as yet, but I have been spending the weekends there.
Didn't you apply for a anterless tag? Man that's the first thing I do as I've got so many doe where I am--it's a shame the Ministryisn't issuing more doe tags in WMU82A. Guess they're depending on the POACHERS to balance the doe/buck ratio.
I've found the Poaching has increased in my area--found a couple guys on my farm during the turkey season and to this date the CO are yet to come. Saturday last saw to guys with 'rifles' coming out of the farm opposite--remember now we're still in the ARCHERY ONLY season here, and rifles are not used on birds either--called the MNR and was told to call the Cops as no CO were available--Can you believe that!! It sickens me--obviously this is why those illegal suckers are doing what they're doing.
Had a ethical hunter done something wrong, e.g(leaving his wallet and licences in the truck) the MNR would have been fast to react and lay charges--yet they allow those without Licences, Outdoorcards and tags to do what the HE!! they like, most unfortunate.
Now I'm even afraid to put my cameras out at my farm. So, other that the deer I see when I'm in my stand, I haven't a clue what's moving at night.
I'll send ya a PM later John.
