Default Need tougher arrows....

I've been cracking some tips on my Beamen ICS Hunter 400's while stump shooting. I need another brand that's about the same weight but tougher. I was thinking about Gold Tips....any suggestions? Thanks.

I think you will get mostly a favorable responseconcerning the Gold tips.

Of the numerous carbons I have tried the most durable I have found are the Nitro Stingers. However not everybody carries them.

Gold Tips would be my suggestion. I have had one break and that was on a deer, just before the fletchings it broke while the buck was running away with the other3/4 of the arrow sticking out. And it broke cleanly, no splintering or anything, so that was good too.

If you're shooting at good solid stumps i doubt you'll find an arrow that will hold up for very many shots.

Gold tips. Are you using judo points or feild tips? I think the judos would help absorb some shock. And pick some softer stumps

I shoot carbon express and have had them shoot through electrical conduit (don't ask) with no damage to them.

Thanks for the quick responses. I had some Carbon Express Terminators...I cracked a few of those also. I was shooting with Judo points...butI was losing about 3 arrows each outing....total cost of arrow and Judo point was about $10.00 each. So now I just use field points with washers...surprising the arrows are still accurate up to 25 meters.

I just ordered a dozen Beamens last week....when I start going low on that batch...I'll give Gold Tips a try. I'll also check if my proshop carries Nitro Stingers....never heard of that brand though.

Also, I'll go back to Judo points...to see if the arrows last longer.
