Let us know how it went. The meat should be fine I would think. Smell it and see ...if you recover the deer GOOD LUCK.

7 yds away, and you were in a tree, your entrance hole should be high. You'll most likely have gotten the near lung and all the blood vessels coming out of the top of the heart. Should have gave it an hour and picked up your deer last night. I don't see why you won't have him found before your 1st class

when i was in high school, i hit a big six point high. my dad and i trailed it the next morning for 6 hours. there was no blood until he ran up next to a tree and snapped the arrow of. from then on, there was some blood. just enough to follow the trail. never found him. my dad's buddy say the same deer 2 weeks later in a field. the only reason we knew it was him, was because his rack was bleach white. hope you find him.

get right out there at first light and search.bring help if you can.miss class if you need(or go in late)be ethical and try to find the deer.dont just quit you owe it to the deer.its called being a responsible hunter.good luck and keep us posted

no such luck, looked up and down for over 4 hourswith 2 buddies no blood casue it ended up raining last night i did end up finding my arrow 60 yards from my tree. i guess you win some and you lose some (literaly). I spend all year working hard for opertunitys like this and yet something always goes wrong. Ill give it a week of thought and ALOT of practice becasue im not going to give up that easy. thanks for all your advice. ill get one on here shortly with a story and pics dont worry

i had to do that last year cuz i was worried about coyotes getting to it first.
