Here is the URL to my hunting pictures this year.

Saturday morning September 21st I got my deer; it was a liver hit and required every bit of skill that we possessed to track her. After the first 100 yards; we were down to one drop of blood every 5 or 6 feet for another two hundred yards before we found her. She was still alive but was bedded and couldn't move so after a wait of a few minutes and testing her I approached from downhill and put a second arrow through her and my hunt was over. Although I am proud of taking my animal I am perhaps more proud of the job of tracking this magnificent animal 264 yards and successfully recovering her.
She was a big doe and very tender eating. I'm smoking my venison sausage tomorrow . . . it is very good too. I can't wait to taste it smoked.
An important note both the doe and me were tied to trees to keep us from sliding down the steep slope.
One of my partners got me started with collecting souvenir rocks from our hunts. This is my souvenir rock for this year. It has one of the many small, single drops of blood that we had to find to track her down. The ruler is a 6" machinists rule and the crossbar is 1 inch from the top.
