How will the "fast" mods feel in compairson to the 05 E cams in terms of draw force and smoothness?

Also, what are the let off options for 06?

i guess what i meant is the riser is machined, as are the limb pockets. the cam and idler wheels come out identical, so the only thing that changes the speed from 1 bow to the next is the limbs. i know the process they use to make strings and cables, and while i haven't seen the machinery, its been explained to me and is awesome (to lay out and tension). the strings are coming out identical in length, or really, really close. limbs are really the only things that aren't created equally, and that's the only real reason they don't have identical speeds. right? so that's why i was nitpicking. i'm bored.

Oh man you guys are getting to me already.
Last yearI passed on a new bow and bought a biggaz pistol instead.
Next year I may be in the market for a new bow and always tell myself to shoot every option before picking one.
BUT by the time I'm done reading all of the remarks on this message board my brain stays BOWTECH.

I'll shoot them all, but the new Tribute/Allegiance is calling my name already.

I've got a fuzzy feeling the "smooth" modules are going to be about normal and the "speed" modules are going to pull like a biaatch. I Will have to wait and see.

Matt,

It sounds as though Bowtech used this idea from the Diamond line that they took over last year. I have an original early 2004 (pre-bowtech) Diamond Gladiator (IBO 328) which has both a speed module and a smooth module that can be swapped out without a bowpress just by removing three small allen set screws. FYI, Diamond used to do alot of the CRC work for Bowtech so it was a logical marriage between the two companies.

Now that I fully understand that the difference between the smooth and fast options is merely a matter of changing out the modules, I will be ordering my 2006 Tomkat with modules for smooth and fast in my drawlength range.

I haven't shot them yet, but the guys I know who have think the "fast" ones are pretty smooth on their own.[:-]
I would guess that the "Smooth" mods will be probably a little softer than the 05' draw force curve, and the 'Fast' will be a bit steeper on the front and back end and a longer plateau storing more energy.
For a guy who typically shoots a 70# bow, a "Fast" 60# Allegiance will probably blow most of the 70# competition out of the water! Heck my 30"/60# Allegiance shoots my 405gr A/C/C's at 279 with a peep, loop, 2 tied in nock sets and 2 crossbow leeches. 70+ft lbs of KE from a 60# bow.
The new "Fast" one is simply going to be nuts.

Matt/PA,

I shot a Mighty Mite last weekend and liked it except for the grip. I like a bit more meat in the grip. Tell me what you think of the aftermarket grip at the following link, and do you think it will work at the 2006 bows as well?

OK, I am not a tech person, so at 26 in and 60 lb, will you end up with more speed from the equilizer or an allegiance?

I'm not an expert by any means but my guess is that these 2 bows will be pretty close to equal in terms of speed at this length. If you lose 10fps per 1" of draw length you'd lose 40fps on the Allegiance which would put it in the 295fps peak range. Only the Equalizer you'd drop 1/2" which I would assume equals a 5fps drop. So you'd be in the 298fps peak range.
