I've probably only had about 3 opportunities where I could have killed a coyote while deer hunting but with each case I just let them walk on by, one at only 5 yards while ground hunting. Do they only have pups in the spring or do they breed whenever like dogs? I love listening to their howls while sittin' around the campfire havin' a couple cold ones at night when I'm out in western Kansas on my yearly bowhunting trip to a buddies ground. It's awesome. I guess I'm more focused on deer and don't want to blow spooking deer by shooting a coyote that I wouldn't know what to do with after I killed anyway.

I hate them because they reak havoc on quail and rabbit populations in my area and also because they kill a lot of pets that are left to run free. They kill chickens, calves, deer fawns, turkey clutches and anything else that they can kill. They kill animals and just eat the guts or hindquarters and then kill another. They are vermonous little killers and I shoot everyone of them that I get the chance to. As stated above, they have no natural enemies so I am just doing my part and I figure some of yall are slacking so I am doing your part too<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
The only way I really like to shoot coyotes is when I am by myself or when I am with someone.

Plus they are a lot off fun to hunt!!!!! If you haven't called a coyote in, you need to!! It is a blast! I'm sure some will see that as unethical too but I'll NEVER give up coyote hunting. It's a rush! Plus at $20-$25 a hide I still make enough in the winter to buy a new bow or rifle....

What! Yotes dont eat deer. I just sat at an Apache lake and watched a pack chase a full grown cow elk into the lake. Guess they wer just playin' tag with her. I actually like the critters and have been around them my whole life(long time) but Arizona is losing antelope, deer and turkeys to yotes at an alarming rate. I have had a yote jump my turkey decoys coming to my call so I also know they eat the crap out of them. Whoever said people were the real problem was right on. Just shoot them for a quick kill so the non hunters here will feel better.

I do not hate coyotes or any other animal. I did kill a coyote last week. It was not acting normal, standing in the road at 10:30a.m. and barely moving while these rednecks were shooting at it with a rifle. I suspect it had rabies. We burned its carcass and my arrow/broadhead. They are so thick in this area it is like listening to surround sound when they start howling/yelping before sunrise, sounds cool. Coyotes will kill sheep and goats. I have also seen them trying to take a calf. Coyotes living on the edges of suburbia also eat house pets like your cats and dogs.
