Mech's and shoot through Mesh
I'm just trying to gather info on real world trials, I have heard not to shoot jackhammer style mechs, but I've seen or heard of many working. So do you have any pesonal experience shooting through Screens with mechs? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

RE: Mech's and shoot through Mesh
Personally, I have shot several mech's through mesh. The ones I have tried are:
Eastman Silvertip through a double bull- worked just fine.
Eastman Silvertip through a Eastman carbon venture- fine
Eastman ST3 cut on contact mech through a carbon venture-fine
and a Rocket Steelhead through the Carbon venture it also worked fine.
Personally I don't think you will have any problems. None of my heads opened up and there was no effect at 40 yards. Good Luck

Wow, dwd, I'll need to try that. I mostly shoot Spitfires but used some Satellites last year because I didn't think the Spitfires would work. I'll have to try them to see. I bought some Muzzy 4 blades, some triton 4 blades, and some Eastman 3 blades just to shoot thru the mesh later this year but if the Spitfires will work that will be great.

RE: Mech's and shoot through Mesh
I really wondered how the really easy opening Mechs held up to the screens, such as the Snyper, Grim Reaper, and Tekan II's. Also I have heard of people shooting Reapers through Like a Fixed Blade? Has anyone tried that?
