y'all did the right thing...she should be very proud that she passed her up.

I see nothing wrong about letting down--shows that she's in control of her hunt and felt it wasn't the best thing she could have done. I've had that happen more than once and I video the doe & fawnsinstead and always enjoy looking back at those times.
Got herself into the roll of 'a mother' and there's absolutely nothing wrong about her compassion.
Killing is not the only joy you get sitting in a stand.
