if you are 20 feet up while the deer is5 yds out and moderately quartered away?

Vote, then comment on how difficult this shot would be for you.

Tough angle but I think it can be done. Would I take the shot? Nope.

Slam dunk. I've made that shot more than once. BUT, I will say that you should be practiced and have good KE.

Not an easy shot, but sure it can be done. I shot my doe in the heart this year from 11 yards and about 20 feet up. She was quartering away also.

I have taken the heart in this situtation. Depending on the angle....you're going to punch the deer mid /to/ rear rib on one side andbang the heart as you come through and exit the arm pit on the other side.

I actually have developed an instinct and some confidence with slightly angled shots.....

I still love broadside and passing through....pulling the carbon out of the dirt....

Can I .... Yes.

Would I... it depends. Sometimes you just have to wait for a better shot than is there. Not that the senerio is a bad shot... it's just there are better. Depends on the deers attitude, state of nervousness etc etc etc. Where am I. Where did the deer come from and what's he doing. Each shot is a separate deal.

Good point David...Its all about the deer attitude..

I also think shots like this come from experience...When you've done it...you've done it...

Sometimes I make shots like this and never think about it....but is 22 years learning....

I still...really focus if this is all I've got in the heat of the moment...arrows do whacky things too...on these angles...
