questiong about copper john sights
I was told at a local bow shop that with a dounut peep site you are not supposed to see any of the orange on the outside of the sights at full draw. this was the first time i heard this and i was just wondering if anyone else has heard this and knows any truth about it. i would just trust the guy that told me but they are very sketchy doing business with so im not sure.

i have the same sight , and i see my orange outline at full draw , i was told the orange is on there to grab ur attention and really help you to focus on the inside of the pins , and to help you not focus on the deer as much.......i love mine tho , its deadly!

I'm not too sure about that. When I shoot my roomies, I see the whole orange ring. Also I would think that it would depend of draw length. maybe if you had a short DL then you would be closer and see less, and vise versa. I dunno... maybe.

RE: questiong about copper john sights
A lot of sights are using the round, colored pin gaurds. They are simply there to help you align your peep with the round part of the sight, rather than centering each pin in the peep. This allows you to keep the same anchor point for all distances, whereas centering each pin caused you to slightly change your anchor vertically.
If your peep is not the perfect size, you will see orange. I prefer to see a slight outline of the color to know my anchor is correct.
