i was out last night and had a big doe come in around 6:45, i have an extra doe tag so when she came within range, 17 yards or so, i took the shot. it was a little lower than what i wanted but still very bottom of the lungs or at least 1 lung. i let her sit for a good hour before i even started looking for blood, i knew this wasnt a long time to wait but clouds were coming and i wasnt sure if it was giong to rain and i wanted to at least get an idea of where she was before i left it till morning. well my buddies and i tracked for about a mile after was all said and done, we kept finding big blotches of blood so we figured she couldnt have been much further, but sure enough she was further and eventually she had run across a clear cut which made it extremely difficult to find blood. so we marked the spot where we saw the last bit of blood and decided to wait until morning since it looked lik the clouds were going ot break. well at around 7 this morning i wake up to a torential down poor, headed out around 11 and there was absolutely no blood. we wandered the woods for a coupld of hours just trying to find her laying down but nothing. im giong to try again tom. but does anyone have any ideas on what i should try next?
