Default Hunters shouldn't get married.

I've been planning it for over a month. Have all my gear. Have the stand hung. Wife bought me a new portable stand so I will probly hang that next week. got my special permit for a crossbow (wish I could still pull a regular bow, but an injury in the Army finished that for me) . Everything is ready.....Last night I went out into the woods, and just stalked to the edge of a field and watched small group of deer. They didn't seem to notice me. So what happens when I get home?? My buddy's wife ( he has a bow, but isn't bowhunting this year) calls and asks if we want to join them for a nice no kids gettaway to the beach this weekend. My lovely wife, who has put up with my obcessive preperation denies her desire to go , but I can see the disapointment......... So......I made the call to Grandma. It looks like I am going to miss opening day of bow season this year. ...... I am such a sissy.

David <--- hanging head in shame.

My ole lady (not married yet) thinks she's funny making jokes about how I'm so anal about bowhunting. I say her only hobby is making fun of my hobbies.

Here is a pic of her doing her favorite thing. Layin on the couch reading Cosmo.

I can't wait until she comes home and I'm cutting one up on the kitchen table.

I told my girlfriend right from the start, come hunting season, I disappear. It's 4 years later and she knows what's coming every fall. Taking her out for a fancy dinner at the end of the season makes her happy.

Some things are true whether you believe them or not.

I set my women straight way before we ever thought about mariage. Never had problem since.
Dont do social or family events OCT/NOV and family knows it and they know why.
Many hunters have retired to marriage.

I thought you Army guys were supposed to be tough. Don't you know a covert operation when you see one? Really though, I commend your decision. Taking care of your family is way more important than one day of hunting.

God bless,
Brandan

Heather keeps asking when I am leaving. Hmmm?? She says its her vacation from me. Guess I got her trained right from the start. She arranged a big get together this past weekend, figuring it was the last time for a couple months....

hey cheifheadhunter......
I'd have to say that with your ole lady.. it be pretty hard to go out in the woods... even when she wants ta.. you know... but hunting still winss.... I mean look at it this way.. you get outta your stand around 10. Back by 11. Do whatever til 2. rest til 2:30. then you're back in the woods by 3. Out by 9. home by 9:30. and time for some dessert with the chicka... ya know what i'm sayin hahaha....

Anyway
