Default Bear proofing a feeder?

Anyone have any suggestion on how to bear proof a corn feeder. Here in La. we have no bear season but a lot of bears. In the past I have had no problems but last year I had 5 corn feeders destroyed by a bear. 3 were hanging feeders and two were tripods. Anyone with bear experience have any suggestions?

Default RE: Bear proofing a feeder?

suggest a bear season to the lawmakers ..........stop feeding alltogether......they will only come as long as the food source is there...If the bear pose an imminent danger to you and yours..you should be able to put them down. Thereare a danger .....especially a lot of them as you stated
