Ritual - Do you do anything symbolic after the kill

RE: Ritual - Do you do anything symbolic after the kill
After field dressing the deer, does anyone else, place the buck's private area up in the crotch of a tree for good luck?
As for me....I eat 'em. The animal that is, not the private area. I always believe that if you eat a little deer meat prior to the hunt then you are more likely to see deer.
Call me superstitious.

The only symbolic thing that I do is to thank God for his blessings.

I think its funny you are all talkin about this. Ithappenedon accident to methen it eventually turned into a ritual. I was field dressing the buck then i just threw the private parts and they stuck in a branchand my buddy and i thought it was funny. So now everytime i shoot a buck i do it. I thought i was the only one.

I usually just cut out the liver and take a big bite out of it, then smear some blood on my face in some kind of a war paint theme. I get strange looks from the neighbors but it brings me luck.
