I just tried the Bite Shield sold by Lentek International. It has a small and very quiet fan that pushes a scent (smells a little like Citronella) and is supposed to keep the skeeters away. It definately did not work for me. They would virtually land on the thing.
I have heard good things about the Thermocell but don't know if anyone can tell me if it definately works 100% or it helps, or whatever. Thanks.

(hectorshardware.com) has them. I couldnt find much info on the product on the internet. The chemical mats that are used last 4 hrs and the butane cartridge lasts 12hrs. Not sure if you can continue to use the same mat if it isnt used the entire 4hrs at once, maybe it can be wrapped in foil or something. Doesnt work unless you are in the same spot for at least 15min.
