Agreed buddy, ive been out 4 times and been anhilated every time. I use nothing, kinda messes up any scent control so i just try to deal with them. Colder weather is on the way so im hoping theyll take off.

Get ya a thermacell it drive the skeeters away without scareing the deer, I know it sounds weird but it worksI take mine every time I go to the woods and have yet to run a deer off. Get one you wont regret it.

Southwest IL they have been unreal as well.. Last weekend hunted the am but when evening came around and it was in the mid 80's they were crazy.. I forgot my thermacell and left the woods early, had something like 20 bites on my head and neck..

This weekend should be better though. am 40's and pm 60's.. Might see a few in the pm but skeeters should slow down.. Hopefully!

I still find it amazing that there are hunters who still haven't used a ThermaCell. IMO its one of the top three things that has been made for hunting in the past 20 years.
