All I have to do is stand up, and most folks get real polite, real quick. But yeah, I'd take photos of them and their vehicles, record license plate numbers and call the law.

If they messed with me, I would press charges. If they bothered me after the kill, I would invite them to feast on the dead animal (since they like animals so much).

I concur with ButchA and driftrider.

Whatever ya do, don't lose your composure or provide them with any " fodder " that they could use against you or other hunters.

Of course on the assumption that their actions are definately associated with attempting to disrupt one's hunt , having a recording device of some type handy could be helpful to prove their actions. While its not the best I have a limited " movie with sound " mode on my digital camera, though I'm not sure if or how evidence gathered by such would be legally viable.

I actually had a PETA encounter in WI last year while salmon fishing the fall run in Sheboygan. My brother and I were fishing early one morning and we saw a guy pull up with a PETA sticker...I assumed it was the People Eating Tasty Animals sticker...was I wrong. The guy pulled kayak out of his truck, tromped down to the river, put the kayak in and began to paddle in the area we were fishing, thrashing his paddle, and cutting right in front of us. We didn't get mad outwardly (although I would have love to drown the f****er) and we called the DNR and just by chance the CO was up the road at another fishing hole, so he came right down and politely asked the guy to leave...the guy refused...so the CO donned his waders and ******ed him off the stream.

I wouldn't have to do anything. The other fifty hunters that typically hunt within a hundred yards of me would probably take care of the situation.
LMAO!!!

You guys with all the macho responses...you are so full of it. If you had any sense, you would let the law deal with it. No PETA is worth going to jail over. Grow up. Hopefully most of us won't have to deal with that, and if we do, we would do the right thing. I used to be quite a hot-head myself when I was younger. Got in a ton of fights and more trouble than I cared for. I finally grew up a little, and wised up alot. There are much better way to handle things. Now if they physically assult you, that is a different story. But that is not what they are about. They WANT you to do something that they can publicize, so they can use it to attempt to further their cause. Don't give them the satisfaction.

I love it..

I would probably climb on top of their tree hugger mobile(lexus, mercedes, bmw) and drop my pants and take a big nasty sh*t on their windshield and then rub it in with my boot. If i went to jail for it.. so be it..

Part of the reason I posted this question is we have a local park here in Abington, PA that has a controlled deer hunt every year and the protesters and PETA people show up.. They yell and scream and use canned air horns to try and scare the deer but they arent allowed in the park. Park rangers prevent them from going in. Last year the protestors slashed tires on the hunters trucks as well as the rangers vehicle.

In Texas, we have a hunter anti-harrassment law in place, so I would take pictures and call the game warden on my cell.

If I'm in Arkansas, they just trespassed on my land (or lease land) that is posted so I would do the same thing that I indicated above.
