My local pro shop is an hours drive, and my string needs to be twisted. I was thinking of getting one of these for the small things i could without having to drive so far. Would this press be ok to use on a Mathews Q2?

Absolutely, but I'd recommend getting the split-limb adaptors to use with it. Not that they are necessary, but I've just gotten into the habit of using them on all bows. I have both a bench mounted Apple press and a Bowmaster. 95% of the work I do involves the Bowmaster as I'm usually away from home when doing all my tinkering. I don't think I've used the Apple in three years now. It just sits there.

Must be something wrong with mine or the way I'm using it. I just don't trust the thing and really don't like the way it works. I bought it and never used it.

It works fine , especialy on paralel limbed bows , like the q2

I have a bowmaster and it works perfectly. Now that I have it I can't imagine not having one.

I was given one a few months ago and have used it a few times on my Allegiance already. One day I wanted to put a new peep sight in and it saved me an hour and a half round trip drive to the pro shop so I'm not complaining. It worked great for me.

Save that trip to the pro shop a few times, and the Bowmaster pays for itself pretty quick in gas, plus it's really convenient.
Would I prefer a full sized one? Sure, but if I combine the bowmaster and my Apple bow vise, I can do everything at home with out taking up much space.
