I look at it this way, if they can smell your chew, they can smell you also. You must hunt the wind, they can smell you and anything in your mouth or on you, if you are hunting the wind properly you could wear High Karate and they won't smell it.

Myles Keller chews tobbacco in the stand and he has 30 or so pope and young trophies in the books. He says he thinks maybe it covers his human scent.

I once had a buck wake me while sniffing my old wad of snuff that I had discarded earlier that morning directly below my stand. He sniffed the snuff and ran off about 30 yards. He did go ahead and try to pass through my stand keeping the 30 yard safe distance. Notice I said tried!!!

It would be wise, I think, to leave the snuff at home.
