Ok guys, me and my local archery man have decided on the Parker Hunter Mag Exteme for my first bow. I am excited as can be and hopefully I can run down to Bass Pro in the next couple days and pick it up. Along with a case, block and maybe a Glendel Buck. I have never been so excited about spending700 bucks!

Your local archery man isn't a shop owner? My local shop is a Parker dealer. He sells a few but not many, mostly because he also sells Hoyt....

Anyway, I digress. I have been in the shop a few times when people have brought a Parker in for repair, and every time it has been a cracked limb. Now, I don't know if that is just irony, or if it is an actual problem, I have never owned one or shot one, so I can't speak intelligently on that, but based on that, I wouldn't buy one. This is just my opinion, though, and I sincerely hope you are happy with the bow.
Oh, one more thing....Congratulations!! A new bow is a beautiful thing!

Always nice to be encouraged. I don,t know much about Parker bows but most bows that I have seen come with a life time limb warrenty. Congrats on your purchase and hope you get a big buck.

Parker makes a nice bow. I owned 2 several years ago and thought they were well made. The design used back then is a bit dated now but I still wouldn't hesitate to pick up another if the opportunity presented itself. Good luck with the new bow and have fun shopping.
