Contest Poll - Where do you stand?

As I said in a previous post in this same thread, it's not that I can't hunt through an outfitter if I wanted to, I just prefer the challenge of doing it all myself.
your point is no good man.

Go back and read my previous posts in this thread, I don't feel like typing the same stuff again.
You may as well stop arguing about it, we're just going around in circles. Four pages and I know I've already made at least two posts saying nearly the exact same things.

Sorry Dan just saw where you and zak123 have 1 kill between the both of you.you both talk like you are experienced. I'll leave you alone but don't say your way is right and all us other guys are wrong its rude

One bow kill, correct.
I've been hunting big game since I was nine, accompanying my father in the field since I was five. I'm 17 now. I've taken at least one deer per year, every year. The only shot over 50 yards was a whitetail two years ago, and it was around 150 yards off.
That's at least 7 deer for me, with over10 years of in field experience. Please, don't try to pull the age/experience card, it's no use and makes you look like an ass.

And saying that I don't deserve an opinion because I didnt shoot a deer yet isn't rude? This contest is supposed to be fun. The winners last year got a prize. For all of those people that wanted to book and hunt, the prize may be the motivation.

I say yes because if I have any team members that aren't hunting Iowa, Ohio, Illinois or Kansas.... they SHOULD be!!!

We all know it takes3 PA bucks to add up to one good midwestern animal?!?

I know I can't afford to shell out the cash for a guided hunt but I'm willing to stick to hunting my local area if everybody else is.

I think Cougar's point about the farmer is right on the money. Speaking of which, what if you're leasing the hunting rights from him? I know that's a common practice around my area. So, you've paid for the access to the land. You got the advice from the farmer, and you got your trophy deer. How is your dead, paid-for animal different from the dead, paid-for animal taken from a guide? I just don't see the difference.

The outfitter does all that for you.
In one case you're paying for the right to hunt theland, the chance to shoot a decent buck. On the other hand, with an outfitter you're paying for the trophy deer.
