masterblaster....u say never assume anything about someone u don't know...but it is o.k. that u do!

remember, u wrote....not trying to start crap, but those guys who really like him are probably alot like him!

so it is o.k. that u assume things but not the rest of us![:'(]

u know nothing about me but what is wrote here on this sight. and by now u should know that i say what i think and i don't sugar coat things, and if u are saying that the tred barta way is wrong than u MUST not like to HUNT, u just sit and shoot.
while u where at home watching his show and whining about it....he was out in the weather making another show! rain, sun, snow, wind, close shots, far shots, and then packing it out on his back, not in one of those texan big wheeled metal frame trucks![:-] if u don't like the show that is fine just don't come on here and think that all of us are going to say your right MASTERBLASTER!

Here we go again….

You are showing you inability to make a point with facts. Notice I said are probably. Duh!!! Usually people who like the way other people do things are like them or want to be like them. DUH!!!

Did I ever say I hunted out of a big wheeled metal framed truck????? Since you apparently need every fact stated to you I DO NOT. I drive a F150 and I sure as hell don’t hunt out of it. I drag my deer back to the truck with a climber, pack and bow when I do kill one. On average I drag them 300-400 yards. So yes I pack them out to. I to also hunt in the elements. It gets into the low 20's in December. Not as cold as some placed but sure not a cakewalk either. Try toting a stand and all your crap 500 yards though the woods in early October at 88 degrees with 90% humidity. I tell you this because you again make foundationless assumptions. I hunt public land just like you. I am not an idiot taking shots at Geese popping off at the mouth like Barta. Yes I hunt. Yes I shoot (that’s part of hunting if you can’t figure that one out).
I’m not expecting anyone to agree with me. I would Expect people to have enough sense not to assume they know how all Texans hunt.
Oh anda little more FYI:
All trucks have metal frames. Genius!

Exactly!! FWIW, I have written to OLN-TV and politely, respectfully, offered my viewpoints on Tred Barta's show. I told OLN that "in my opinion, he does not represent good ethics and good judgement in regards to hunting. A lot of sportsmen/hunters/outdoorsmen do not care for his so called "style" towards hunting. We need all the help we can get with the animal rights activists (HSUS, PETA, etc....). Tred Barta and his showare a little over-the-edge and comes across as very arrogant and unethical. In other words, if PETA or even just a regular everyday non-hunter watched his show, they would be horrified in 0.2 seconds!"

Just my opinion, folks....

I came to the conclution the othere day that I am not going to watch anymore hunting show on tv, they are all lame. I wasnt going to come to this site anymore, but what else am I going to do at work, WORK. It is hard to watch others do things when I my self do them so perfict . I still think Tred is a good ethical hunter, but I am not going to win that argument here so I will not try.

I wish just for 2 hours all the people who post on here could get together face to face and talk about this stuf as men (and women). It would make for a good TV show. "When Good huntersgo mad"

Ow and on a side note, I like Tred but am nothing like him, except forthe love of hard work and the Outdoors.

!%#@&* PETA and he is NO wanna-be. Tred is an arrogant cocky S.O.B and I watch every show of his that I can. His the only show where someone is telling you the" truth about hunting " He may not have the greatest of abilities, the smoothest of stalks, the steadiest of arms but what he lacks in skill and ability he more than makes up for in determination (doing the work). He is full of piss and vinegar, and not afraid of PETA, or YOU!!! for that matter. One of the only hunting shows where he can go without taking game and still enjoy the wilderness. Thats REALITY TV Maybe the reason I like him so much is that he reminds me of ..... me. I am a hunter and I make no apologies for it. I dont need help from PETA and dont want to be their friends.

AMEN BRUTHA!!!

I like Tred. I like Nuge. I absolutely HATE any others who glamourize their "skills" while hunting preserves/ranches, holding a sponsors product saying how they couldn't have done it without whatever brand x they are touting, and telling everyone how it "should be" done.

I realize Ted is getting more and more commercial, maybe to pay his bills, maybe not. Tred does not follow typical tv show hunting styles. He puts fun back into it and makes me want to go hunting. If I were a young boy and saw Tred's show I would think, "hell yeah...." and go get a bow as soon as I could.

And that my friends is good for hunting and it's future.
