Default need help with kids bow

I picked up a Indian Explorer Omaga Bow for my brothers son for a good deal.
This bow does not have a cable guard on it. However there is a place for one to be installed. None of the bow shops around here seem to have one that will work or they done want to spend the time to look. WHERE WOULD I GO TO GET ONE FOR A YOUTH BOW? Would they sell these at Dicks Sporting goods. I've picked up this for his Birthday next week and would like to have it all set up by then.

HELP!!!!! I want to take a kid hunting

I think just about any place that has sporting goods should be able to help you out.

I've never heard of that bow, but assuming the bow has metal cables coated with rubber, you might be able to get away with a wooden dowel glued into the hole? Wrap it with duct tape where the cables will rub on it and it might work.

I'd just buy one online. You may not find one for an omega but I'm all but certain the tap is a standard size. Try one off your bow to see if it fits and if it dose then just order one. If it's too long then it can always be cut down to size.

Eders has a bunch of them.

I have a question though. Dose the string show signs of wear and is he having arrow clearence issues? If the answer to these question is no then it really dosen't make a big diffrence if he has one or not.
