RE: Thunderheads vs. Muzzys-which is better
I have used Thunderheads for years, no problems at all. I recently switched though, because I went to carbons, and I could not get them to spin test true with UBARS. They were fine without them, but I didn't want to take a chance. I switched to Wasp, only because their blades are a bit thicker than Muzzys. Muzzy's are a fine head, though, and any one of the three that I mentioned should do the job just a well as the other.

I just got my muzzys this week and had been shooting them, but today I took them off. If I would have kept them on I have a bad feeling I would have started destroying arrows! I was begining to tear up feathers due to the tight groups. They shoot right with my field points, I'm really impressed and confident going into elk season.

I used to shoot the tunderheads and they were a good head but I switched to the Muzzys when i started using carbon arrows. The rubber ring was breaking on the thunderheads. I bought the U-bars for them but the arrows would not spin well with them on. I put on the 100 grain 3 blade Muzzys and they spin great and shoot great.

IDkTm - I've done the same thing. 6 arrows had to get re-fletched before I left for MO last year. I only shoot my Muzzy 90 gr.'s about 10 - 15 times now to warm up before the season. I've never had to retune my bow after switching from field points to Broadheads. They are definately the best broadheads I've shot since starting bowhinting.<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>
