i talked to a guy today and he tried them and said they work but make a smacking sound when going through a whisker biscuit. he even made the hole bigger in his whisker biscuit and it still made a bad whack of a sound. im gonna have to see for myself. i do remember reading something about them using a new type plastic this year. maybe thats the reason why?

The DeadX seem to fly well with less vane to create contact and neither of the Turbos make noise coming from my bow. I used to shoot feathers, so I guess the turbos are quiet compared to feathers.
Anyways, time to put the recurve down and get my compound set up for hunting.
Later.

The new ones have been impregnated with a nylon polymer and WILL still break but they take MUCH more abuse than last years.

I wanted to see if they were tough, so I shot them at 5yards or less in my room. After about a dozen ends shooting at a single spot I finally got vane on vane contact enough to cause damage. Before that I was smacking my arrows together, of course being such a short distance and never had a single nock break.

These are really tough as nails.[8D]
