I have used several and the two best releases for a loop are the zenith four finger back tension and the carter 3d 2000 thumb triggered release. I wouldn't be scared to hunt with either one of these although I wouldn't use the clicker cam in the Zenith. I have had better luck with hand held releases versus a wrist strap.

My favorite is the T.R.U. Ball release with the wrist strap and the single ball on the string. The release attaching to the ball has preserved my string and I like the wrist strap style. This was the fourth release that I had tried and am not looking for anymore.
