I don't know if you mean for hunting or not. If not for hunting, my favorite release without a doubt is the truball King George. I like this release best because of it's adjustability, and the ability of shooting the release with a combination of my thumb and pinky at the same time. It's not very quiet though and I don't use it for hunting.

I use the truball pro diamond for hunting mainly because it is the exact same size of the King George and is extremely quiet in the field. I use both of the releases with a talon, but as an option, I can interchange any of the releases with a single or double ball.

If you use a d-loop, the TRU loopmaster is tough to beat. I have been very happy with mine. It is specifically designed to shoot with a loop as the name suggests.

I like the little bitty goose. It is adjustable with the string that connects the release so you can fine tune your draw lenghth. It can be shot with back tension, and the sensitivity is adjustable. I use it on the 3-D range and turn up the tension a little for hunting. They are well built and I have never had a problem with one yet. The single jaw works great with a string loop also.

If you are hunting it would be hard to go against a Short-n-sweet or a itty itty(Little what ever they call it) bitty goose. I personally use the Short-n-sweet. At the national tournaments usually it is rope realease or these two up at the top. Both are hard to beat for "Traditional releases"

I picked up a Short N Sweet this off season. Quick to load and good with a loop.
