Default How can I quickly de-scent my new rubber boots

I have a new pair of Redhead rubber boots. Last Saturday, I think that a buck sensed me due to the new rubber smell that the boots seem to be emitting. What can I do/what can I apply to my new boots in order to de-scent them as much as possible. I' l like to wear them again this coing Saturday.

Thanks in advance,

-Will in Maryland

Hi Will,

I washed the exterior of my boots with the same detergert that I wash my hunting clothes in. I believe it is the Scentshield brand. After they dried I sprayed them with an earth based cover sent. Seems to have worked for me. Hope this helps.

After washing mine I like to bury them in the mud ankle deep and leave them there for a few days if possible. I know it sounds funny.
