Cheap ladder stands???
I see where Cabela' s has a ladder stand for $69. Has anyone tried these cheaper ones? Are they any good? I' m a solid 6 foot, 235 pounder, would they hold me steady? I' ve been eyeing a real heavy weight at the pro shop for $150. It' s rated for 300 and is built like a rock.
What say the experts?

Yep I' ve used that one. It' s not a super high quality stand, but really a decent stand for the money. I use a ratchet strap along with what is provided to secure it. I weigh 200, and have no probs...I would think you' d be fine. I think they are actually rated at 300?
I was actually just thinking of buying a couple of those to put out this season...the price is right for sure.

I go just over 300 pounds and use the same stands that cabelas is selling for 69.99 right now. I think they are a great stand for the money. I use a rachet strap to hold them on the tree and have no problems at all with them.
