RE: Bowfishin rigs?
When I first started Bowfishin I made my own Bowfishing rod out of a Icefishing rod. I Strung it with heavy line and screwed it in the stabilizer hole using threaded rod.
But once I forgot to hit the Bail and Damn near took my finger off when the string was wrapped around my pinky!
It works good just be careful with the bail

Don' t spend much on the bow. An older good used bow is more than enough. Spend your money on a Retreiver Reel for about $50. Cheap old steelpin sight. Paint the pin tip white, it shows up the best! You can get cheap solid fiberglass arrows but their terribly crooked. Spend alittle extra on the arrows...they' ll fly better and penetrate much deeper. I do like the new Muzzy carbon bowfishing arrows. They' re tip is preety good to.
I' ve shot 250 to 300 carp, buffalo, and dogfish this year. Its a blast!
Aim Low!!!
