Comments on AR31 or AR34?
I am thinking about purchacing an AR31 or AR34. Could anyone give me a little feedback as far as bow speed with a hunting setup, shot noise, ect. Any good or bad feedback would be welcomed. I' m a 28" draw and shoot 3-39 A/C/C Carbons and 100 gr. heads.

Im a die hard Matthews man but I just bought an AR 34. It shoots great and is super quiet. Right now it is set at 68 lbs at 29 inch draw with Easton Exel arrows with 85 grain broadheads, total arrow weight is 385 grains. It is shooting 282 through the chrono right now. I am planning to switch to 100 gr heads soon but it still should be well into the 270s. I shot the bow while I was setting it up at 70 lbs 29" and shot 5 grains per pound and got 299, not too bad since it is silent, you wont be dissapointed[8D]

I was recently in the market for a new bow and although i' ve never shot the AR31 or 37 i did shoot the AR34. It was a breeze to draw set at 64lbs and was pretty fast and quiet however there was a little more handshock and vibration coming from it than i cared for. That was a bare bow so we put a set of limbsavers on it and shot it some more and although it did take a lot of the handshock out there was still some there. I' m not saying that the AR series isn' t a top notch bow because i' m sure it is it just wasn' t the one for me. I know several guys who shoot them and couldn' t be more happier.

RE: Comments on AR31 or AR34?
I have an AR31 for about 6 weeks now and love it. My 31 set at 68 lbs has no hand shock at all and with aluminum arrows it is the quietest bow I have ever seen. It is not the fastest bow I own but it is by far the smoothest and quietest. My Mathews ultramax is faster but it is not as smooth or quiet and I only have factory installed string leeches on the AR31. I have limbsavers and a stabilizer ordered and I realy don' t know if I can improve it as nice as it is now.

RE: Comments on AR31 or AR34?
I tried the 34 before I purchased my LX. I did find that the grip was a little thinner than I liked. It is also mostly mettal and in WI we do a lot of late season hunting in the sub 20 temps. Otherwise it shot VERY well and it compared to the Legacy in most aspects. for $100 less also.
In the end I chose the LX for the grip, speed, smoothness, and yes the name. I know that if I chose to sell my LX I would get top dollar for it. If I tried to sell the AR???? just don' t know yet.
