Default Suggestions for new bow

Ok......I am done with my buck and doe for the 08 season and I am looking for a new bow. I want to keep the bow at or under 500 cash and I will pick up the bells and whistles later. I am leaning towards a Diamond but I like hearing what others have to say about a bow around the same pay range. I will not be buying until 02/2009 when the prices come down and people are trying to get rid of merchandise. What bows would you recommend? Thanks Rob

I'm very happy with my PSE XForce TS. It's very fast, very quiet, maneuverable (28" axle to axle), and just a great shooter. It's a little tough to get used to, because it's very different from any other bow I've shot, in that there is no "valley". It breaks over (65% letoff) and just stops. Solid back wall, but if you relax just the least little bit it wants to go forward...fast and hard. But outside that one thing, it's a great bow, and pretty well flawlessly made.

Don't rule out the Bear bows. They are a good bang for the buck.

You might keep any eye on Archery Talk classifieds or over on e-bay. There are very few bows that can't be had for $500.

The Black Ice because it has a short axle to axle at 32", light weight, smooth drawing, and the perfect hunting bow for getting up into your tree stand.

You might just want to save 250 more and get the admiral.
