Vortex heads are underated in most of the country. The key is finding the one that fits your setup. They can get pretty large as far as cutting diameters go. I have reviews of most of them on my website www.broadheadtests.com overall however they are very good broadheads.

RE: Rage vs Vortex Broadheads
i've been using vortex 2blade 2"cut 100grain head for years and not one single problem.i get pass-throughs about every time.
i tried the rage three blade this year, only issue is blades open up while walking or bumping the bow you always got to mess with the blades.dont know if they opened on the release or stayed closed but they did the job on two does.
vortex for me.vortex make two and three blade heads with steel or aluminum ferrules.

RE: Rage vs Vortex Broadheads
I killed a 6x6 bull elk several years ago with the Vortex 2 inchtwo blade. Not a great hit, but it did the job. I actually switched to the Vortex Mini MaxSteel head 2 bladebroadheads. My friend swares by them, and I've seen the results. Four hugebull elk on his wall. Theyare all he will use, and now the only thing I will use. Fly like field tips and are deadly.Get the Vortex Mini Max Steel 2 bladeheads.
