Default Magnus Stingers

Guys and gals - Anyone use the Stingers? I've been using Muzzy 3 blades for years and I am running low and thinking about trying the Stingers (100 gr). Not too concerned about penetration with them, but do they fly as good as they say in their ads?

No. They fly BETTER than they say in the ads. I would nevershoot a deer this far, but I could hit a 2" square at 70 yards w/ Stingers. They fly like lazers.

Guys, thanks for the info. I was down Cabelas this week and picked up a 3 pack of 100 gr 2 blade Stingers. Also a new block 4x4 target. Yesterday I took the target out in the yard and set it up at 20 yds. I got 3 arrows, 1 with a Muzzy 3 blade withpractice blades, 1 Muzzy 3 blade with razors and 1 2 blade Stinger. First shot with Muzzy Practice went 2" high and 2" right. It could have been me as I haven't shot the bow in 2 months. Second Muzzy, dead center. Next the Stinger. Perfect. Dead center. (Was shooting at different dots.) Initial thought was - ok so they fly good but what about penetration. When I went up to the target, I was impressed. The stinger penetrated the Block at least 4" deeper than the Muzzys. Thinkin it may have been a fluke or a soft spot in the target I shot each arrow 3 more times. I got the same result. Fly just as true as my old reliable Muzzys but penetrate 75% (or more) deeper. Looks like I'll be buying some more next trip to Cabelas.

100 grain 4 blade. Lazers. I would never shoot a deer that far, but you can really geta feel for how your arrows are flying by shooting long distance.

I'll also say this. One of the deer I shot totally DESTROYED my Stinger.I shot her at 12 yards from a blind, and it went through her offside shoulder and stuck out the side, but my arrow was still lodged in her. She fell over on some large rocks and landed on it. Just.....absolutely destroyed it. I emailed Magnus, and they replaced it, no questions. That broadhead DID IT'S JOB and they still replaced it. No faulty manufacturing, no bad parts.....It worked perfectly and they replaced it. How many broadhead companies do you know that will do that??

I've been using the Stingers for a year nowwith great success in flight and penetration. I had been using the Satellite Titans for quite some time but can no longer find them. The Stingers look just like the Titans and someone told me Magnus bought them out, or at least their patent, and that is why they look similar. I haven't been able to confirmthis "rumor" but I do know the Stingers fly and work just as good. I recently won four packs of the Maniac broadheads and will be experimenting with these but I probably will end up staying with the Stingers since they work so well for me.
