I consider broadheads probably the most important part of my setup, so don't go cheap with them. Especially when you can get a proven broadhead for only a few more dollars. I shoot Muzzy 3 blade 100 grain broadheads which I buy locally for $29 for a six pack. Then I get replacement blades as necessary - which helps keep the cost down...
There are a lot of options for arrows. A couple of years ago I bought some Cabela's Stalker Extreme (they are currently $59 a dozen) and was pretty happy with them. They are actually made by Easton anyway (or so I was told)...

as a starting archer, you need to remember that if you use lower priced equipment, you will get, "lower priced" results. when i started shooting, i bought my arrows a few at at time and set money back for my "higher priced" equipment. it will take you a little time to get everything you need, but you will have better equipment doing it that way. the important thing is that you have a good time and be safe while you are out shooting.
