Default BEAR BOWS

A friend of mine is thinking of buying a bear bow, But doesn't know which one to get. He has been looking at the instinct, truth, and truth 2. What are your expert opinions? He know that they are good bows for the money.

Thanks

No expert, but he should not just be looking, he should shoot them all.

In advance of the 2008 models, 2007 Instinct and Truth bows are on sale out here. $330 for the Instinct and $425 for the Truth. Both are great bows. On my hunting associates bought an Instinct today for a backup.

I just picked up a 2007 Code and added a Ripcord, string loop, stabilizer and peep for 516 bucks. Sweet shooter, i cant complain so far. It's the first new bow i have ever owned so it blows everything i shot before out of the water.

Don't leave out the Buckmaster BTR. At 20 yds. I can put 5 arrows in a quater and at 40 yds. it's still holding about a 6 in. pattern. For around $250 bucks you shure can't complain.

I would suggest to anybody to look at other bows besides the bears, they will not back up warranties very well anymore and expect you to send back a brand new bow that i had just got off the shelf set up fired it enough to site it in and it came apart in my hands at a shoot at our shop. called bear and they wanted me to send it back and let them fix it and wait 2 weeks or more before id be hunting or shooting 3d, guess they dont hunt the rut! this bow was a brand new truth and the serving on the cable came undone, I was shooting a 500 grain arrow so no probs with that and the bow was set on 70# at 29" draw. So needless to say this bowshop person is not a bear dealer nor will they ever be. I went with a new bowtech marquis and its worth the few extra dollars and so are some of the other bows out their just be careful with the dwn cable servings if you do own a 2007 or 2008 bear bow their is a problem that bear dont seem to want to deal with. goodluck to all this hunting season.
