I haven't looked at Cabelas because it's a store that sells at retail prices. I think there is a a special going on at Bowhunter's Superstore on cutoff saws.

dremel, a piece of wood and a L shaped aluminium bar....cost me about 40 dollars
I have a G5 ASD tool but my arrows are cut straighter than my shooting is !!!

I would get the 8,000 from BHSS, that way you can cut carbons safely if ever you want too. You might not see it visually, but 5000 rpm can cause the interior fibers of the carbons to unravel and weaken the arrow I often wonder how many of these pics you see on the net of an arrow "blowing up" into someone's hand are just from someone doing that and not heading manufactures suggestions because "they've never had any problem cutting carbons at 5,000". I've built them out of sewing machines, blender motors, dremels, etc. I always ended up giving them away to make a better one. I finally got one of the Cabela's saws for a father's day gift a couple years ago after my wife got tired of me cannabilizing all her appliance motors. If I'd known how much better and easier they are, I would have just gotten a professioinally made one in the first place. Well worth the money. The one BHSS is selling looks exactly like the Cabela's one, just cheaper.

Snood,

It looks identical because it is. It's made by Apple. Cabela's just likes to think they are the only show in town.

And for what it's worth I agree that higher RPM saw is better, but most of the arrows I've seen or heard of exploding do so farther back from the tip, usually closer to the middle or toward the fletching. You're right though to treat carbons with respect.

It is pretty common practice for folks to trim both ends of the arrow though. Helps keep the spine and flex even.

I am sure there are a number of ways to go here - saw or dremel - I understand that 8000RPM is better for carbons though.
